Education is a real opportunity for children to change the course of their lives. We work to take children off the poverty and encourage to perform well in academics. Education in developing countries is still considered a privilege. Poor families generally cannot afford to send their children to school and always support their kids by providing books and stationary required. Hence we believe it is our responsibility to make sure that we provide financial aid and also books and stationary for the deserving students.
Hence as a part of school opening day festival at SKV School Kadinamkulam, Pratheksha distributed books and school stationary to each student in the school. Pratheksha cannot take up this initiative alone. Special mention to be given to the contributions provided by Srishti Innovative, Kerala Cultural Society of Metropolitan Washington (KCSMW), Yogakshemasabha Attingal Upasabha, Techversant, Digital Point Attingal etc.
There was small meeting held for this cause. The function was presided by the school’s PTA President Mr. Shibu, Inaugurated by Mrs. Jnjanaselvam .Pricipal sir Mr.Rafi welcomed the crowd with his speech. There were few felicitations which included Mr.Vishnu’s, who is a Pratheksha representative. Two of our volunteers, Karthika and Shilpa helped in distributing books.
